I must admit I never knew James Rebhorn’s name, but I knew his face, performances and his voice. He died on Friday.
Variety reports:
“Actor James Rebhorn, seen most recently in turns on “White Collar” and as the father of Claire Danes’ character Carrie Mathison on “Homeland,” has died. Reports say that he died in his home on Friday at the age of 65.”
Like many character actors of the last 25 years he appeared in several Law & Order episodes, seven in fact. Movies I remember him from include Far from Heaven , The Talented Mr. Ripley and Guarding Tess.
