BlackNews.com — Orrin Hudson, motivational speaker and founder of Be Someone, was recently featured on the “Mamas Gone Wild” show. The show, hosted and produced by Nikki Woods, the senior producer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, and Mary Boyce, head writer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, consists of a weekly web video series on BlackAmericaWeb.com. The show features exclusive interviews with individuals making a difference in urban communities.

During Hudson’s interview, he talked about how he teaches kids to think strategically, one move at a time via the game of chess. In the interview, he refers to the chess board as the “board of education” and says “it’s not about blame, it’s about aim.”

Hudson, whose non-profit organization is based in Atlanta, GA, has the goal of reaching 1 million inner city teenagers across the country. His book, One Move at a Time: How to Play and Win at Chess… and Life, has inspired thousands of students and educators to “begin with the end in mind”.

Hudson has been featured on CNN, Good Morning America, and People Magazine, and most recently the FBI awarded him with the 2013 FBI Director’s Award for Community Leadership.
