Dallas Police receiving bullet and stab proof vests donation from Texas Kennel Club

Texas Kennel Club is helping to protect the Dallas Police Department’s K9 Unit

Texas Kennel Club will present 3 Stab Proof/Bullet Proof Vests to the most recent additions to the Dallas Police K-9 unit.  This presentation will be held at their Saturday, December 6th Conformation and Obedience Shows at Dallas Market Hall, Dallas, TX, at approximately 1:45pm in the Group Ring.

The Dallas police department canine squad was formed in 1961 with 3 handlers chosen from over 200 volunteers. It currently has several different departments utilizing German Shepherds for explosive sniffing, drug sniffing and perpetrator tracking. These new dogs will be trained in all venues listed.

The Texas Kennel Club, founded in 1898 in Dallas, TX, is the third oldest member club of the American Kennel Club, in continuous operation. It is a non-profit, all volunteer organization devoted to the health and welfare of pure bred dogs. The Texas Kennel Club holds 2 All Breed Dog Shows, Obedience and Rally Trials and an Agility Trial every year. More information about the Texas Kennel Club may be found at http://www.texaskennelclub.net
