Plano hosting first-ever Block Party to rock Downtown

planoDowntown Plano is holding a big block party on September 26 from 6 P.M. to 10 P.M..  The bash begins with a concert at the intersection of 16thStreet and J Place featuring Northern National and Kirk Thurmond & The Millenials.  Party-goers are urged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Tickets are $15.  VIP tickets ($50) include a pre-show party with two free drinks and appetizers in the Shinola Garden. They can be purchased atwww.visitdowntownplano.com.  A portion of the proceeds benefit the Assistance Center of Collin County.

The block party is just one of a series of events designed to show people that downtown Plano is much more than the ever popular 15th Street.
