Show Up. Speak Up. Shape Allen beginning on Thursday, Oct. 1, to plan Allen’s next big projects. Pick a subcommittee and participate in weekly workshops that will help identify and prioritize community needs and costs for public facilities, parks and recreation, public safety, and streets and drainage. These recommendations will represent the City’s next Capital Improvement Program to be presented to Allen City Council for a future bond election to be held in 2016.
The number of meetings needed will vary by subcommittee; however, subcommittee meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. every Thursday through Nov. 12 at Allen High School. Weekly attendance is encouraged, however, it is not required.
