Navy Seaman Stephen Smith of Dallas, serves aboard USS Ronald

WATERS SOUTH OF JAPAN (Nov. 19, 2015) Seaman Stephen Smith, from Dallas, fires an M500 12-gauge shotgun during a live-fire practical weapons course aboard the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
