Dallas, TX –  Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson released the following statement in recognition of National Autism Awareness month:

“Every April we recognize Autism Awareness Month.  Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that affect tens of thousands of children in our country, causing significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges. This month we aim to make the public more aware and to highlight steps we can take to help those living with ASD.  Approximately 1 in 150 people in America have ASD, including about 1 in 68 children. I will continue to work to ensure that each person with ASD is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life. We must encourage our own families and friends to not only learn more about ASD, but to work toward more acceptance and inclusion for those living with ASD.”

  1. …good. Fix autism.

…what I want to know is when is the good Congress woman going to come out against TPP. When is she (and her buddies in Congress) going to fix the damage caused by NAFTA and all the baby NAFTA’s that Congress likes to set up.
