New DART representative for Garland appointed

Jonathan R. Kelly has been appointed to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board of directors to represent the city of Garland.

Kelly, a senior portfolio manager with more than twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, is currently a Vice President at Northern Trust Company. Prior to that he was the Director of Business Development – Trusts for Principal Financial Group/Principal Trust Company and a Senior Vice President at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.

He presently serves on the Tax Increment Financing Board of Directors for Garland and is a member of the Dallas Estate Planning Council.

Kelly is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in International Economics in 1993. He also attended the University of Dallas in Irving and in 1998 received his MBA in Corporate Finance.

Kelly replaces Garland’s Michael Cheney who was appointed to the board in 2011.
