NDG Gossip: Rapper Lil Wayne accused of assault and 2 stars call it quits for “The Game”

By Kendria Brown, NDG Intern

Rapper Lil’ Wayne has been accused of allegedly hitting a fan in the back of the head with a skateboard.

Earlier this week, when onlooker Alfredo Marino saw the rapper and some of his crew skateboarding, he approached Wayne for a photo. But Wayne declined. Marino then left but attempted to grab some photos of the rapper.

It did not go well when Weezy spotted him and reportedly said, “Don’t you know all it takes is a word and these m*therf*ck*rs are going to f**k you up!?”

After this rant the rapper supposedly tried to use his skateboard as a weapon, slamming it across Marino’s head leading to a bloody end.

Well as you might expect, Marino and his lawyer are seeking compensation from the rapper and his crew who are named as alleged assailants.

Melanie and Derwin leaving BET The Game

Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall will call it quits for BET comedy series The Game. Tia plays Melanie on the show and Pooch is her TV boyfriend Derwin. Everyone is playing nice and calling it a mutual decision to leave the show, and they hope to return for future guest appearances. The decision was probably easier for everyone involved because Mowry has released her first new book and indicated earlier this year she wants to spend more time with her baby. Hall is working on a Showtime program called Ray Donovan. In earlier reports he said BET was going to let him do both, but looks like they changed their mind.

“It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun,” stated Mowry on her Twitter account last week.

So who do you think is going to carry the show now? Do you still care?
