Political Candidates Forum for Dallas, Denton and Collin Counties

ndsa-forum-croppedCandidates for elected positions serving Dallas, Denton and Collin Counties will participate in a moderated forum sponsored by the North Dallas Suburban Alumnae Chapter (NDSA) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  The Candidates Forum will be held at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park Family Life Center at 210 Abrams Road in Richardson on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.

The nonpartisan event is free, open to the public, and designed to give voters an opportunity to hear from candidates running for state and local offices in the areas serving Far North Dallas and suburban communities including Addison, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Garland, Plano, and Richardson, TX.  The forum will be moderated by Ms. Kristi Nelson, NBC 5 First at Four, Lone Star Politics and 5 Talk Street Anchor and Reporter, and will include questions from the audience.

“We believe that the Candidates Forum provides an excellent opportunity for transparency in our political process,” said Pamela D. Pujo, NDSA President.  “We have always and will continue to provide open forums for the public to receive information and engage in constructive dialogue.  As an organization, we strongly belief that voter education provides a solid foundation for constituents to make informed decisions when exercising their right to vote.”

Confirmed candidates include those running for Texas House Districts that serve the three counties, as well as those seeking offices of Judges, Justices of the Peace, State and U.S. Representatives.
