Richardson church hosting a workshop for unemployed, under-employed and nervously employed

The Heights Church is hosting a free Job Search Workshop by the Career Transition Ministry (CTM) team of Dallas at 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at 201 W. Renner Rd. at US-75 in Richardson.

This free event is open to the community and focused on those who are unemployed, underemployed, nervously employed preparing for their next job transition.

The event will include free lunch and materials. The all-day workshop will teach proven job search skills, including:

  • finding your job focus 
  • resume critique and development 
  • using the Internet and Social Media for job search
  • effective networking skills 
  • creating a 30-second elevator presentation 
  • interviewing techniques 
  • developing a 2-minute verbal resume and more.

Doors open at 7:45 a.m. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. Attendees are required to pre-register due to limited seating. Register online at https://www.heightsmissions.com.

Over the past 15 years, the CTM team has taught job search skills to thousands and worked one-on-one with hundreds of job seekers. The Heights JobSeekers Ministry serves the community by assisting job seekers with tools, resources, networking opportunities, and workshops.
