Plano Named Best City for Individuals with Disabilities

PLANO — Plano has been recognized as the best city in Texas for people with disabilities and ranked 19th nationwide, according to a new study by WalletHub.com.

The study analyzed 182 of the largest U.S. cities, evaluating them on multiple factors.  Things like safety, cost of living, healthcare access, employment opportunities, and quality of life.

Plano earned first place in the economy category, highlighted for having the lowest percentage of residents with disabilities living in poverty.

The city also ranked fifth in the nation for its employment rate among individuals with disabilities.

The report aims to identify cities that provide strong economic support, accessibility, and inclusive opportunities for residents with disabilities.
