Dallas Movie Theater One of 15 Nationwide to Host Magical Hologram for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t

One Dallas movie theater will be part of a first-of-its-kind promotion to hype the new film Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Fifteen theaters across the U.S. will host appearances by the cast — Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, and others — in hologram pop-ups.

Moreover, moviegoers can take selfies with the holograms starting November 14, when Lionsgate releases the film in theaters.

Using technology by Proto Hologram, Lionsgate will bring the characters — played by Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Justice Smith, and Ariana Greenblatt — into theaters. The holograms will take out their own cell phones to capture selfies with patrons, who can download images via QR codes.

Additionally, Proto technology is already in use for the AI Jerry Jones at AT&T Stadium. Lionsgate Worldwide Distribution president Kevin Grayson said the promotion perfectly fits this film. “This amazing technology borders on magic, so there’s no better way to anticipate the release of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Get your selfies with the cast now, before they disappear,” Grayson said.

Furthermore, David Nussbaum, Founder and Chairman of Proto Hologram, added, “This represents a new milestone for holographic experiences in cinemas and the largest theatrical activation Proto has ever delivered. We were thrilled to work with Lionsgate to bring the cast directly into theater lobbies.”

Moviegoers can see the hologram experience at theaters in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Denver, Washington, D.C., Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, Albuquerque, New York, Dallas, and Houston. The Dallas location is Cinemark Webb Chapel.

In the film, the Four Horsemen — Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher — join a new generation of illusionists, including Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, on a mission to expose diamond heiress Veronika Vanderberg (Rosamund Pike). Vanderberg has ties to arms dealers, traffickers, and warlords.

Aided by the legendary Thaddeus (Morgan Freeman), both generations of magicians overcome differences to defeat their adversary. The film promises some of the most thrilling illusions ever captured on screen.
