DISD students’ kind words encourage ill children

Volunteers from JPMorgan Chase and students at Charles Rice Learning Center decorated 100 quilts and pillows with inspirational words to encourage hospitalized children through the Soaringwords program.

Soaringwords is an organization that coordinates the volunteer efforts to decorate the SoaringQuilts and SoaringPillows and the distribution of them to ill children. The pillows feature pockets that will contain handwritten notes created by the students. The items created at Rice will be delivered to children at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and the Ronald McDonald House
