The public is invited to celebrate spring by dropping off hard to recycle items during the free Spring Recycling Roundup hosted by the City of Dallas Sanitation Services Waste Diversion Team. The first 50 cars to drop off items at each location will receive two free movie tickets.
Team members will be on hand to accept electronic items (e-waste) – video games, cell phones, computers, televisions and calculators; small appliances, toys and stuffed animals, cardboard, clothing, shoes, used books, tires (limit of 5), scrap metal, fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs, used cooking oil, packing materials including Styrofoam, plastic wrap, plastic grocery store bags and medical equipment. Shred trucks will be at both locations for onsite shredding. Participants may bring up to 5 legal size boxes for destruction. No household chemicals, paint, furniture, mattresses or building supplies will be accepted.
The Spring Recycling Roundup is scheduled for Saturday, March 24 at 9 a.m. at these two locations:
