Hundreds of Big Brothers Big Sisters supporters, volunteers, matches and community advocates attended the signature Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser on July 30. This fun annual event helped to raise much-needed money to create new matches between “Bigs” and “Littles” that will make a lifelong impact in children’s lives. Global anti-aging company Nerium International is the official host of this year’s tournament.
During the event, bowlers had a chance to win $1,000 for the charity by knocking down the Nerium International “Golden Pin”. Nerium Ripple Foundation matched funds up to $10,000 in support of BBBS Lone Star children. Over the course of the partnership, Nerium has raised more than $1.3 million as a lead sponsor for BBBS Lone Star.
To boost fundraising efforts, a silent auction was open to the public and ran during the bowling tournament. They also provided a drop-off box in the bowling center to accept new items such as backpacks, binders, folders, pencils, pens, markers, spiral notebooks, etc.
