Not even one month after the announcement, Aretha Franklin has cancelled her upcoming nuptials to marry long -time friend Willie Wilkerson. The Queen of Soul issued a statement through her representative Monday. “Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly.” That’s right, girl; you better “Think”!
Just after New Year’s Eve, Aretha announced that she would be marrying Wilkerson and hinted that the couple might tie the knot in a lavish Summer wedding in the Hamptons, Miami, or Long Island. The diva also expressed that she was considering getting fitted for a wedding dress with either Vera Wang or Donna Karan.
Deion Wants Pilar To Get to Stepping
You ain’t gotta go home, but you do gotta get outta here! According to TMZ ex-Cowboy Deion Sanders is demanding that soon to be ex-wife Pilar move out of his house.
According to papers filed in Texas last week, Sanders can’t get his freak on if he is still sharing a home with a woman that he is divorcing. Akward, right? Deion believes that what is his is not hers, stating that his home is his separate property. So, he is requesting that a judge order Ms. Thang to move out.
Deion is also singing “We want prenup, we want prenup!” It was previously reported that Pilar wants the prenup to be tossed out. She is claiming that she was tricked into signing it, but Deion states that Pilar spoke with lawyers beforehand and was completely aware of what she was getting herself into.
Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks Star in “Sparkle”
The last time Whitney Houston was in a movie, Bobby Brown was still her husband, little Bobbi Christina was wearing all her clothes, and no one knew who Jordin Sparks was. But things have certainly changed.
Jordin Sparks stated that she is beyond excited about her role in the remake of the 1976 hit “Sparkle” because she is working along the side of one of her biggest idols, Whitney Houston.
In an article in People Magazine, Sparks commented that “She was so cool and very motherly toward me.” The movie, which also features stars; Cee-Lo-Green, Derek Luke and Mike Epps, is about the up and downs of a girl group comprised of sisters, is due for release August 10, 2012.
I definitely understand Aretha Frankllins choice of waiting a little longer before she takes the big plunge, but on the other hand Deion Sanders and his wife Pillar sorry soon to be ex-wife I thought they were such a happy couple on the show it appear that way. He wants her out of their own in which both of them were sharing, because of another woman or shall I say many women. Isn’t this the reason why they are divorcing, if I was her let him have the house.
