Duncanville City Council member caught being “mannish” at the King Spa

Duncanville City Council member caught being “mannish” at the King Spa & Sauna

by Latrisha McDuffie, NDG Staff Writer

Duncanville City Council member, Scott Cannon, resigned Friday, just one day after he was arrested and charged with a Class B misdemeanor. Later Cannon was released on $500 bond, according to police.

In a press release, the Dallas Police Department stated that undercover officers were conducting a vice operation at the 24-hour King Spa on Royal Lane, when they said they observed Cannon, “engaging in an act that constitutes indecent exposure.”

Just note ladies: never allow your man to go to a 24-hour spa. Remember what our mothers always said; “Anything that goes on after 10 o’clock is bad!”

According to Dallas County Court records, this was not the first time Cannon has been caught doing something nasty in public. He has a previous arrest on two counts of public lewdness in 1982.  Cannon came clean on one of the counts, pleaded guilty, and was serving probation. The other count was dismissed.

Can somebody please explain to me why men can not stop going back to the scene of the crime? I can imagine that the 9 unique healing sauna rooms, acupressure massages for the body and feet, and the movie theatre were all wonderful, but what are these women during these $120 “massages”?

Cannon was elected in 2003 and has served nine years on the city council.
