Plano middle school student 3-time spelling bee champion

Chetan Reddy, a student at Plano’s Rice Middle School won the Collin County Spelling Bee for the third consecutive year. As the county winner, Chetan will represent the county in the Dallas Morning News Regional Bee to be held on March 24. The regional bee will be broadcast live from the WFAA-TV studios in Dallas.

If Reddy once again wins the regional title, he will travel to Washington, D.C., in June to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee and a third bid for the national title.
