Black history spotlight for Oct. 10: Isaac R. Johnson

On Oct. 10, 1899, the black inventor Isaac R. Johnson patented his frame of a bicycle which can be separated or folded to store in the trunk of a car or other small places. This type of bicycle can be used to carry on vacation.

  3. Just another example of erasing of true African American history. Why would those who may have manipulated control of the patent identify those that should have inherited or benefitted from his genius. Support the inclusion of TRUE African American history in the mainstream curriculum. In NYS bill S1135 sponsor Sen. Brian Benjamin 30th Dist.
