Results from the weekend’s Cigna Mayor’s Race 5K, presented by Oncor

West Dallas was packed Saturday morning with close to 6,000 runners for the Mayor’s Race!

Mayor Rawlings came out to start the race and ran the 5K with around 4,800 DISD students & teachers from around 120 different school. Former mayor Laura Miller and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital CEO Bob Walker paced each other the whole way and finished (ahead of Mayor Rawlings) near an 8-minute mile pace.

The overall winner of The Mayor’s Race 5K was 33-year-old CLINT BELL of Dallas, Texas with a time of 15:50. First place female was Jessica Smith, 35, from Trophy Club, Texas with a time of 18:27. Full results of chip-timed participants are available at http://www.dallasmarathon.com/results/.

Radio Disney got the kids excited at the start line with a warm-up and hula hoop contest, while snacks were provided by Kroger. Sponsors Ace Cash Express and Brinker, Presenting Sponsor Oncor and Title Sponsor Cigna all added to the excitement, providing goodies and hundreds of additional race participants.
