Construction accident fatality in Frisco leads to shutdown of Main Street

Frisco firefighters are on the scene of a construction accident that resulted in a fatality.

The accident, involving a trench, happened at approximately 4 p.m. this afternoon.

As a result, Main Street — between Hillcrest and Coit — is shutdown. Allen firefighters are on their way to assist since the Allen Fire Department maintains trench rescue equipment that services the region.

Motorists should find alternate east-west routes including Preston, Rolater and Eldorado Parkway.
