Late Thursday evening Ronda Huffstetler, President of the Irving ISD’s Board of Trustees issued a statement she will not seek re-election on the Irving School Board of Trustees. The brief announcement included:

“Today I am announcing that I will not seek re-election to a fourth term. After 12 years in office, it is time for me to turn my attention to my own business and personal matters. I want to thank everyone who has supported me and, more importantly, everyone who continues to support Irving ISD. It’s a great school district and I am proud to have served. I plan to devote more attention to my business, Salons on the Plaza and the Four Seasons Resort Salon, and enjoy more time with family and friends.”

The deadline for a candidate to file for the May elections is Friday, March 1.
