State Representative presents Dallas students with scholarships

State Rep. Yvonne Davis congratulates District 111 students

State Representative Yvonne Davis of Dallas congratulates District 111 students, Kaliyah Rose, Demosthenes Sherman and Nancy Hernandez, who were recently selected and received $1,500 scholarships each from the Texas Legislative Black Caucus during its’ Bi-annual African American Legislative Summit held in Austin, Texas on February 24-26, 2013. Emilu Mata, who was unable to attend the event, received a $4000 scholarship as well from the TLBC.

Also pictured with Representative Davis is TLBC “Outstanding Texan” Recipient, Kenneth Govan of Oncor, who was selected as the District 111 Honoree for his outstanding service to the community.
