Irving, Garland and Dallas ISDs receive Met Standard ratings from TEA

DISD-Logo-300The Texas Education Agency (TEA) yesterday released the 2013 state accountability system ratings for more than 1,200 school districts and charters, and more than 8,500 campuses. The ratings reveal that almost 93 percent of school districts and charters across Texas have achieved the rating of Met Standard.

This includes Dallas, Irving and Garland ISDs, in fact of the 1,026 districts rated 975 received Met Standard rating, 50 were labeled Need Improvement and 1 was Not Rated.  This paints such a rosy picture for the education system in Texas, that it makes you wonder – are their standards too low?

  1. “- are they standards too low?” Did you say *they* standards? I think the answer is obvious.
