MTBC donates $25,000 to STEM scholarship fund

MTBCShapiro-webFirst scholarship awarded to Plano ISD student in biomedical engineering

In keeping with its mission to advance and encourage science, technology, math and engineering (STEM) education, The Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) has established a $25,000 Florence Shapiro STEM scholarship fund, named for the local former state senator who spent years advocating for STEM education in the Texas legislature.

The first annual scholarship from the fund was awarded to Plano ISD senior Tommy Fabyan.
