Dallas Cowboys beating the Pittsburgh Steelers – on Facebook

cowboysAs National Football League teams prepare for the 2013 season, it’s time to look at how they look — on Facebook. Teams with historically large fanbases (Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers) are also among the most popular on Facebook, according to PageData.

The Dallas Cowboys has 5,464,304 fans (as of 7:17 a.m.) versus the Pittsburgh Steelers 4,918,348. What is interesting that since midnight apparently, the Dallas Cowboys have gained 185 fans, while the Steelers lost 335.

Thirteen of the 32 teams, including the Houston Texans, have less than a million fans. The Jackson Jaguars are in last place with a mere 316,499 fans – wonderful for a small business – but not so good for a NFL team.
