Black TV Ratings for week of August 19 – 25

It is still summer and most black TV viewers are more focused on relaxing than their weekly routines. The TV networks will be anxiously watching for the usual end of summer growth spurt following the Labor Day holiday, but there may be reason for concern. Black TV viewers now play a pivotal part in the ratings success of network shows, representing 9 to 10 percent of a Top 25 program’s total audience.
