Features and special appearances that will fill the Dallas Convention Center with excitement throughout the weekend include: XDL Stunt Show – The XDL Street Jam is a competition-themed demonstration of motorcycle skill performed by the top athletes from the XDL Championship Series. It will include several head-to-head formats in which two riders battle each other in things such as circle wheelie challenges, wheelie races (venue specific), stoppie competitions and a whole lot more. The XDL Street Jam will also feature plenty of audience interaction, motorcycle trivia challenges and some free SWAG (venue specific).
J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition – Returning to the series for a fourth year, the world’s largest motorcycle builder competition will showcase elite-level, custom motorcycle creations vying for a cash purse prize and a chance to compete in the United States Championship finale. This competition will feature five classes including Freestyle, Modified Harley-Davidson, Modified Street, Retro Mod and Performance Custom.
‘Race America’ Slot Bike Track- A handcrafted, one-of-a-kind motorcycle race across America’s most iconic landscapes, where you can challenge fellow bikers to a head-to-head race and win the chance to play the SurPRIZE Machine.
School of Rock – New on tour this year, Progressive and the School of Rock are teaming up to bring attendees the perfect mix of music and motorcycles. This October through February 2014, School of Rock, a performance-based music school franchise, will be sending aspiring music students from around the country to rock out to the classics at the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows. In twelve cities across the nation, the bands will provide rockin’ live entertainment on a large stage with hour-long performances each day. The talented young artists come from more than 45 schools around the country.
Vintage Club Displays – Motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to look into the past, with this special display showcasing retro bikes, courtesy of local vintage motorcycle clubs.
Ultimate Powersports Giveaways – Attendees will enter to win at each tour stop with the chance to win one of five grand prizes which include Suzuki and Triumph motorcycles and Yamaha watercrafts. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the tour in March of 2014.
Celebrity Appearances – Come meet the Wyatt’s from American Guns as seen on Discovery Channel’s American Guns! Also in attendance will be Leslie Portfield multi-time Bonneville land speed record holder and local Dallas native and customer bike builder Rick Fairless.
Free Motorcycle Parking and Gear Check – Free motorcycle parking will be available for all riders who ride their motorcycles to the show. In addition, riders will be invited to check helmets, jackets and other gear at the show’s main entrance to free their hands and enjoy the new show experience.
The Dallas Motorcycle Show will be open to the public November 8 through Sunday, November 10, at the Dallas Convention Center, located at 650 South Griffith Street, in Dallas. Show hours are Friday, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the event is $12 adults $6 for children 6-11.
