The Paul Quinn Tigers Men’s Basketball season got started with a big bang. The excitement was in the air for everyone within the proximity of the Paul Quinn campus. The Tigers got out to a quick start with a combination of inside and outside shots by Colan Weasby, Rickey Richardson, and Jared Mitchell. The Tigers led by 10 points midway through the first half. The McPherson College Bulldogs continued to battle to close the gap to 4 points by the half. The second half proved to be just as exciting as the first half. The Bulldogs applied constant pressure that eventually wore down the Tigers.

The Bulldogs made key shots and controlled the tempo down the stretch to pull out the victory. McPherson’s guard, T.J. Grant led all scorers with 22 points. Paul Quinn’s Colan Weasby led the Tigers with 18 points. The Tigers displayed tenacity, grit and determination throughout the contest despite the outcome of the game.
