Former Atlanta Braves pitchers Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine were elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame when results of BBWAA voting were announced Wednesday afternoon. Former Chicago White Sox slugger Frank Thomas also was elected in his first year of eligibility.
Maddux received 97.2 percent of the votes cast by BBWAA members while Glavine came in at 91.9 percent and Thomas at 83.7 percent. Candidates need 75 percent of the vote to be elected.
