TI earns a profit of $511M last quarter, but plans to layoff over 1,000

ti logoTexas Instruments reported that it made $511 million, or 46 cents per share, on $3.03 billion in revenue in its fourth quarter, but said it plans to cut more than 1,000 jobs as part of a company restructuring.

The fourth-quarter results compared to $264 million in earnings on $2.98 billion in revenue in the same quarter last year.
