McKinney Connects interactive community meeting on March 6

mckinneyMcKINNEY – The City of McKinney will hold the first of many community meetings with McKinney Connects, scheduled for Thursday, March 6 from 6 – 8 p.m. at McKinney High School, 1400 Wilson Creek Pkwy. The entire community is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Attendees have the opportunity to learn more about city services and programs and interact with city staff members during a meet and greet with city departments. City Manager, Jason Gray, and city staff will present updates on city projects and key issues affecting residents. City Council and staff will be available to answer questions during a question and answer session after the presentation.

“McKinney Connects will bring city staff and Council members directly to citizens with a series of interactive community meetings throughout the city. The goal is to engage, inspire and celebrate our community through information sharing on projects, priorities and people,” said Ty Lake, Community Engagement Director.

The community meetings are held to provide residents with information and updates on pressing city issues in an interactive format. During the first meeting, a drawing will be held for a chance to win tickets to an upcoming Dallas Mavericks game. Future meetings will be publicized using an array of different methods like the city website, Facebook page and weekly enewsletter.
