Anita Baker wanted by Detroit Police

anita bakerAccording to reports, authorities issued an arrest warrant for the 56-year-old soul singer after she failed to show up to a court-ordered hearing back in September.

Baker’s latest legal issue involves Ray Smith Painting and Decorating, a contractor who claims the eight-time Grammy Award winner failed to pay more than $15,000 for work done at her Grosse Pointe, Mich. home. Their civil suit alleges Baker did not pay for carpentry, plastering and painting work done in 2009.
