Paula Deen closes restaurant with no warning to employees

PaulaDeen2012

It appears that despite the recent PR tour Paula Deen did and the support from her fans when the publisher yanked her book last year — all is still not well in Deen’s world.

BET is reporting:

“The restaurant at the center of Paula Deen‘s crumbling empire has closed its doors, TMZ reports. Uncle Bubba’s Seafood & Oyster House shut down after 10 years in business, giving no warning to longtime employees who found out the news when they showed up for work to find a padlock on the door.

The lawsuit filed by Lisa Jackson, the former general manager of Uncle Bubba’s, was dismissed after lawyers reached a deal, but not before Deen’s business had taken a near-fatal blow.”

I wonder was the way the shutdown was handled payback to what she might have considered ungrateful employees?
