Billy Earl Dade Middle School, located at 2727 Grand Ave., will host the PREP University Parent Summit: Parents on the Move, presented by the Office of Family and Community Engagement and the Coalition for an Accountable System of Education, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3.
All Dallas ISD families are invited to attend and enjoy free educational workshops, student entertainment, bounce houses, face painting and free food as well as visit with community agencies, win door prizes, and more.
Workshop topics will include:
• A Conversation with Parents
• Reading and Writing: Tips and resources for parents
• Communicating with your child
• Engaging your child during the summer
• Job seeking skills for all
• Counteract bullying and build motivation
• House Bill 5 and how it will impact your child’s graduation plans
