SC Johnson heir could serve only two months for sexual assault of 12 year old step daughter

gavelIt is hard to imagine but SC Johnson heir, Samuel Curtis Johnson III, could spend as little as two months in jail for repeated sexual assault of his 12 year old step daughter. Somehow this billionaire is getting this light sentence along with a $6,000 fine.

Johnson faced up to 40 years in jail after admitting that he inappropriately touched the minor for nearly three years from the time she was 12 until she was 15. However, because the mother and daughter did not fully cooperate he was convicted of a light crime, not a felony. The now 17 year old lives in North Carolina and refused to even return to testify. There is speculation they are still receiving financial support from the family — that would seem to lend itself to making them less likely to testify.

So does this mean all the years of buying products like Pledge and Ziploc, makes us somewhat to blame for Johnson’s case of affluenza? Now how many years would he serve if he was just a regular guy?
