Memoir tells story of woman’s strength derived from God, power to overcome challenges

imageCARTHAGE, Texas – While author Jamie Gates describes herself as shy and quiet, she also says she is unafraid to share her story – one of courage and unwavering faith in God. She invites readers to walk with her down memory lane in her new memoir, “Gracefully Design: A Memoir” (published by Trafford Publishing).

“Gracefully Design” chronicles Gates’ life from her earliest memories as a child to the present. She notes that as the middle child, she was often shy and quiet and let others speak for her. As she grew she found the strength to speak up for herself – a strength she attributes to God.

Throughout Gates’ book, readers will see her struggle with death, pregnancy, adoption and numerous other challenges, all while maintaining her faith in God.

An excerpt from “Gracefully Design”:

“It was a sad moment for the City of Longview, TX. A home boy from Longview, Texas was gone and went back to our Heavenly Father. Indeed, Longview lost one of the finest musicians in the Gospel World. Oh, God, we miss you so much. We love you so much, but God loved you more.”
