Patti LaBelle joins Angela Bassett and Gabourey Sidibe on Season 4 of American Horror Story

Patti LaBelle was cast in season four of FX’s American Horror Story.

The season will focus on the last American freak show and be set in Jupiter, Fla., in the 1950s, with Jessica Lange playing a German expat managing one of the last remaining freak shows in the country. Returning stars set for Freak Show include Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe and others.

LaBelle will not sing on the show and is scheduled to play a local townie who begins to unravel the deadly secrets of Twisty the clown killer and the mother of Sidibe’s character.
