The City of Carrollton will host a free live demonstration of ReferenceUSA, the premier research tool for area business professionals and job seekers, at 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 28 at Josey Ranch Lake Library (1700 Keller Springs Road).
ReferenceUSA provides a wealth of information on more than 35 million U.S. businesses, including company name, executive contacts, addresses and phone numbers, sales volumes, credit ratings, and more.
Participants at the demonstration will learn how to search strategically in order to receive the best results. No registration is required and the training is free.
Job seekers will find this tool especially valuable when researching job location and availability; company information such as number of employees, news, and contact information; as well as resume writing tips, interview advice, or salary estimates.
Participants do not need a Carrollton Library card to attend the session, but if anyone is interested in using the database after the training, they will need to sign up for one.
