Missouri State Patrol issue curfew guidelines for the media

The Missouri State Patrol has issued instructions on what the media can and cannot do or be during the curfew:

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is immediately establishing a credentialed media staging area for credentialed media only at 9101 West Florissant Avenue in Ferguson (intersection of West Florissant and Ferguson avenues). This location will allow credentialed media to view the curfew zone during the hours of the curfew on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 from midnight to 5:00 am. The staging area will close at 5:00 a.m.

Media Staging Area Rules:

Credentialed media may begin arriving immediately.

Media must present credentials for all members of their crews upon arrival.

Due to space constraints, no vehicles larger than a commercial van can be accommodated.

Media must remain in the zone established by law enforcement during curfew hours.

Media that wish to exit the credentialed media zone during curfew hours will have to immediately drive out of the curfew zone.

All media wishing to use the staging area must be in place prior to the midnight curfew.
