Tip from public helps Dallas Police arrest suspect from June convenience store murder

Overnight the Dallas Police arrested Damond Williams, a suspect in the murder at the Little World convenience store on Malcolm X Blvd. on June 2. The police had issued a request for tips on the location of Williams recently. Williams was captured at a home in the 1500 block of E. Overton Road early Saturday morning, following a brief pursuit. He has given a statement and is being held in Lew Sterrett. 

Williams is accused of murdering Bobby Ervin on June 2, 2014, at about 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the “Little World” convenience store in the 4800 block of Malcolm X Blvd. The two men had a verbal argument and it escalated to a shooting.
