Accepting applications for journalism internship

writersThe North Dallas Gazette is looking for an intern to join the team from January 19 – April 30. If you meet the qualifications below, please email your resume, writing clips and headshot to editor@northdallasgazette.com. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m.

Qualifications for this internship are:

Interns must:

  • Be a full-time college student
  • Be a rising college sophomore or better with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Attend an accredited college or university
  • At conclusion of internship, submit an essay detailing how this internship will enhance their future in journalism or marketing communications.

This internship is offered in partnership with the National Newspaper Publishers Association, the premier African American newspaper association in America. The NNPA is celebrating 75 years of serving the African American readers around the country.

We will submit our recommendation to the NNPA and they will make the final selection. Applicants will also be considered for other opportunities with our publication.
