Alcorn State Alumni Purple and Gold Gala is slated for Valentines

The fundraising arm of the Greater Dallas Chapter of Alcorn State University Alumni (GDCASUA) will host their Purple and Gold Gala fundraiser at the Doubletree Market Center Hotel, 2015 Market Center Blvd. in Dallas on Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. They plan to celebrate the founders of their chapter, the school’s 2014 SWAC Football Championship and of course, LOVE, since this is Valentine’s Day.

The night will include food, music, door prizes and a silent auction, with the centerpiece an autographed poem by  Dr. Maya Angelou.  A portion of the proceeds from this event is tax deductible and supports the GDCASUA scholarship fund and other recruitment activities.
