The Waymores will take the stage Saturday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m., as the second act of the fifth annual Texas Tunes concert series. Beginning at 9 a.m. the same day, the artists will conduct a songwriter workshop. Cost for the workshop is $40, and includes lunch and two tickets to the concert.

The show will be held in the Performance Hall of the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street. Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for seniors age 60 and older or children age 12 and younger, and can be purchased at MCLGrand.tix.com.
Lewisville residents are able to purchase single-show tickets for $10 each, either in advance at City Hall or on the performance date at the MCL Grand box office. Discount tickets are not available online. Current driver’s license or utility bill will be required to verify residency.
Tom Kimmel, Sally Barris and Don Henry are all “A” list songwriters in Nashville and their songs have been covered by dozens of performers, from Kathy Mattea, Miranda Lambert and Trisha Yearwood, to Johnny Cash, Art Garfunkel and Ray Charles. Among the three of them, The Waymores have won a Grammy, been nominated for several more and have won CMA and ACM “Song of the Year” awards.
Their music has been used in a number of movies, including Twins, Country Strong and Runaway Bride, and in several television shows from ABC’s Nashville to Touched by an Angel.
The Texas Tunes series features performers from music halls and festivals throughout the state who present great music in a variety of genres, but all with that unique Texas flair that has made the state a hotbed for fans of live music.
The rest of the 2015 Texas Tunes series includes Willis Alan Ramsey with special guest Alison Ramsey on March 14; Tom Faulkner on April 18.; Max Baca & Los TexManiacs on May 23; and Colin Gilmore and Nicolette Good on June 13.
