Prosper Police welcome two new officers this week

2015 Swearing In 6Prosper Police Chief Doug Kowalski (left) welcomed two new police officers to the Prosper force on Tuesday, Feb. 10 in Council Chambers. Administering the oath was Municipal Court Judge David Moore (right). Officers Rafael Ramirez (second from left) and Azhar Ulhaq (third from left) increase the force to 18 sworn positions. Assistant Police Chief Gary McHone (second from right) assisted in welcoming the new patrolmen to the department. Officer Ramirez, fluent in Spanish, was formerly with the Paris Police Department and Officer Ulhaq, fluent in Spanish, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi, comes to Prosper from the Grapevine Police Department.
