DFW Walk to End Lupus Now scheduled for April 4

lupus logoThe Lone Star Chapter  of the Lupus Foundation is calling all Fort Worth and Dallas walkers to join them as they seek to raise money to help in the fight against the painful disease lupus which significantly impacts women of color. The Dallas/Fort Worth walk is scheduled for April 4 with the registration beginning at 7:30 p.m. and the walk kicking off at 9 a.m. at the Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie.

The Walk to End Lupus Now is the signature event of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. In more than 70 cities and towns across America thousands of people walk to make a difference in the lives of people affected by lupus and raise essential funds for education, support services, programs and research.

Participants are invited to raise a minimum of $100 per walker and qualify to receive the official Walk to End Lupus Now T-Shirt. By raising at least $100, walkers are helping the organization to provide valued programs and services to people affected by this cruel and mysterious disease.

It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans, and 120,000 Texans have a form of lupus. Lupus is a chronic and potentially life-threatening disease that can be devastating not only for the patient with lupus but for their family as well. No cure or satisfactory treatment exists, but there is hope. Your support is greater than ever so we can get closer to finding a cure for lupus and give hope to those affected by this cruel disease.
