City of Garland raising money for #GarlandStrong efforts

The City of Garland is selling #GarlandStrong wristbands for $5, T-shirts for $10, and yard signs for $20. All proceeds support the #GarlandStrong fundraising campaign for recovery from the Dec. 26 tornado. Watch for #GarlandStrong booths at various local events; see the #GarlandStrong and City of Garland Facebook pages for schedules.

These items are available while supplies last. To place an order and to arrange pickup, contact GarlandStrong@GarlandTx.gov.

Is there still a need for donations of clothing and household items for the tornado victims? If so, can you please give me the address of a drop-off location.

I called the number on their website and they are not accepting items, but they are still accepting monetary donations. Thank you for your offer.
