National Weather Service looking for Garland and Rowlett residents for focus group

The National Weather Service (NWS) will conduct a focus group meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, to research ways to improve communication of tornado warnings. The event will be limited to 100p eople including residents from Rowlett and Garland.

The NWS highly prefers attendees who were residing in the tornado impact area at the time of Dec. 26 tornado, although other residents may attend.
