NPR and Texas Monthly are leading the charge in spotlighting the importance of a good copyeditor – a lesson the Texas Republican Party likely gets a little too late. The verbiage related to homosexuality suggests homosexual behavior “has been ordained by God in the Bible, recognized by our nations founders, and shared by the majority of Texans.”  It is a safe bet that Senator Ted Cruz and most of the members of the Texas GOP does not share this view.

The offending sentence in the official platform recently adopted by the Texas GOP states:

gop gays

From NPR:

As Texas Monthly rightly points out, the sentence actually says that homosexual behavior “has been ordained by God in the Bible, recognized by our nations founders, and shared by the majority of Texans.”
